Claude Desktop Setup

Claude Desktop is the originating platform of MCP and natively supports mcpServers configuration — connect the Open AIoT MCP server and Claude can call your device capabilities directly.

The general flow

  • Install and run your MCP server per the 5-Minute Quickstart.
  • Edit the Claude Desktop config file and add the Open AIoT entry under mcpServers.
  • Restart Claude Desktop and ask it to “list my devices” as a connectivity test.
